In short

A digital menu is a menu kept digitally instead of on paper and presented to guests on screens. In everyday use it usually means the same as a QR menu, but the idea is wider: the QR menu at the table, the menu screen on the wall, the product card at the buffet and the online ordering menu all belong to the same family. At QrMenum, every one of these surfaces runs on a single menu.

Five surfaces

Your menu, wherever your guest is.

Each surface is designed for its own moment. All of them speak the same menu, in the same brand voice.

Digital menu, QR menu, e-menu: the same thing?

Short answer: different names from the same family. The difference is where and how the menu appears.

QR menu · QR code menu
The menu that opens on a guest's phone from the code on the table. "QR menu" and "QR code menu" mean the same thing. QR menu
Digital menu
The umbrella name for a menu kept digitally instead of on paper. QR menus, menu screens and online ordering menus all sit under it.
E-menu · electronic menu
Usually used in the same sense as digital menu; some venues also use it for tablets on the table. With QrMenum no tablet is needed: the guest's own phone is enough.
Menu screen · digital menu board
The menu shown on a television on the wall. At QrMenum this surface is called Venue Screen, and it is free in every plan. Venue Screen

Frequently asked

What people ask before deciding.

What is a digital menu?
A digital menu is a menu kept digitally instead of on paper and presented to guests on screens. Its most common form is the QR menu; menu screens, product cards and online ordering menus also belong to the digital menu family.
Is a digital menu the same as a QR menu?
In everyday use, usually yes. The QR menu is the most common form of digital menu: the guest scans the code on the table and the menu opens on their phone. A digital menu is the wider idea; a menu screen on the wall, a product card at the buffet and an online ordering menu are digital menus too.
Do I need to buy tablets for an e-menu or electronic menu?
No. With QrMenum the guest opens the menu on their own phone, so there are no tablets to place on tables, charge or maintain.
What do I need for a digital menu screen?
Your existing television is usually enough; if it has no browser, a small TV box will do. Venue Screen is free in every plan and runs on your menu, so you never prepare separate content.
How much does a digital menu cost?
QrMenum Pro is ₺5,000 a year + VAT and includes the QR menu, Venue Screen, QR product cards, the printed menu and takeaway. You can try it free for 14 days; no card needed.
Do I update the menu separately for each surface?
No. You update your menu in one place; the QR menu, Venue Screen, the pages behind the product cards and the takeaway menu all run on the same menu. You download the printed menu again in its current form.
